Class of 1973 35 Year Reunion Part Deux

Fordham Prep Class of 1973

35th Year Reunion Event

You’re Invited !!

So it’s been 35 years since your whole life was ahead of you, or at least

that’s what you thought back in those heady days of the crazy 1970’s.

Now we’re older, perhaps not as thin, definitely missing some hair and

generally more conservative. Yet for many of us, with the kids gone – or

soon to be gone - it’s starting to look like our life is ahead of us once again.

Enough of the philosophy. Let’s have some fun.

(We would say “Let’s Party,” but we don’t want to scare anybody away!)

With the same spirit that organized the 1973 Anti-Prom – remember that

rebellious milestone from your history at the Prep? – we’re inviting you to

come on back to Manhattan for some laughs with your old friends. With

apologies for the short notice, consider this a great chance to renew valued

acquaintances or make new connections as you start out your second fifty!

Organizers:

Jim Murtaugh – Manhattan Rich Hartig – California

Doug Neary – Philadelphia Bob Cicero – Westchester

John Reilly – California Dave DeCrane – California

What’s the plan? Saturday, June 7th, 2008

It’s a three part event. We’ll start at Chelsea Piers. We’ll then embark on a

modest pub crawl and finish with a barbeque on the roof-top deck of Jim

Murtaugh’s condominium

Chelsea Piers: Golf, Bowling, Big Screen TV Sports

2:00 PM

The warm up. We’ll gather here to start the festivities.

Hit the driving range, bowl a few frames or just hang

out and meet up with your old friends. Bring photos.

Pub Crawl: Greenwich Village Area

4:00 PM

Act Two. With a limit of one beer per stop, we’ll spend

a few hours in-and-out of some notable local pubs.

The laughs continue.

Barbeque: Upper East Side

7:00 PM

The main event. Barbeque diner on the roof deck of

Jim Murtaugh’s condominium building. 175 E 96th St.

Warning: your body will hurt from laughing all day.

Logistics:

So you’ll finish with you car nearby, we suggest folks park in the garage of

Murtaugh’s building or in the neighborhood around 96th Street and 3rd Ave.

Then take the subway or taxi to Chelsea Piers. Be sure to arrive before we

leave for the pub crawl. We’ll send out a list of those who’ve confirmed.
